Friendship Week - March 17-21

This week we've been talking about friends and friendship.  We've witnessed so many friendly acts this week that we've been blown away!  Paper chains of friendship adorn our office door and kitchen window, and many classrooms have signs or chains decorating their doors that other classes made for them.  What a wonderful show of friendship!

This week also marked the release of Frozen (we were so excited we couldn't stand it!).  So we bought a copy and our three- and four-year-old class got to have a movie day and talk about the friendships in the movie.  Other classes are watching it next week.  Many of our Patchers have Frozen-fever, and we were honored to hear a "Let It Go" concert from some of the three-year-olds today!  Now you can hear a part of it too!

St. Patrick's Week - March 10-14

This week, we've learned all about St. Patrick's Day, the color green, and shamrocks!  A few of our classes continued the Dr. Seuss theme as well, since it was so much fun.  The final product?  Lots of great pictures of our fun and learning!

A really fun science activity every class did this week was pepper paintings!  We cut a pepper in half, dipped it in green paint, and used it to stamp on paper.  It looked just like a shamrock!

Dr. Seuss Week - March 3-7

What a wonderfully wacky week of fun we had at The Pa-Paw Patch last week!  We learned all about Dr. Seuss and found really fun ways to celebrate a lot of the books.  Here's our photo journal from the week.

The four-/five-year-olds loved doing Dr. Seuss week (they are even continuing this theme through this week along with the St. Patrick's week) and had some really neat stuff going on!

Pet Week - February 24-28

Last week, we learned all about pets - what kind of pets people have, how to take care of them, and what a veterinarian does!  We had visits from a veterinarian and an animal control officer, which the kids loved!  Here's a few things we did...

Dr. Jessica Hilderbran from Vale Veterinary Hospital came and talked to us Monday.  See our blog post all about this.
