What an awesome Christmas week we've had at The Pa-Paw Patch! There's been all kinds of Christmas crafts, storytimes, pretend play, and fun! Here's some highlights from our week...
The one-year-olds enjoyed Christmas storytime in their class, and also created really cute thumbprint candy canes for their parents!
The two-year-olds enjoyed playing in their Christmas sensory tub! One little boy pulled out one of the garlands and proclaimed, "Look! A caterpillar!" We told him it was a Christmas caterpillar. :-) They also colored Christmas trees, then used their fingers to dot the tree with ornaments.
While the kids waited on lunch, Mr. Alex read them a story about Christmas trucks (they were carrying Christmas trees)!
The three-year-olds did a Christmas gift exchange on Thursday. The kids were so excited! They also colored and created reindeer!
Believe it or not, we didn't get any pictures from the four-/five-year-old class this week! What were we thinking? But that doesn't mean that they haven't been busy as Santa's little elves this week. They've made Christmas gifts for Mom and Dad, worked puzzles of Santa on his sleigh, played with their Christmas sensory tub, and best of all, had an awesome Christmas party with a gift exchange! One little girl told us afterward, "This is the best party ever!" So sweet!
All the classes had Christmas parties today with treat bags, crafts for parents and grandparents, cupcakes, cheese puffs, and cookies! All the children are so excited about Christmas coming! Remember, we're closed next week, December 23-27, and then closed again on Wednesday, January 1st. We hope you have a wonderful Merry Christmas and enjoy the time spent with your children and family!
